Botswana

BOTSWANA TRIO: OKAVANGO DELTA - CHOBE NATIONAL PARK - ZAMBEZI RIVER

All-inclusive tour: local road and flight transfers from Johannesburg, all meals and accomodation, daily park entrance fees and game activities, river cruises in photographers boats and game drives, professional photographic guiding.

The focus at the first part of our tour at the Panhandle of the Dkavango Delta is bird photography. October is special month in that both the African Skimmers and the Carmine bee-eaters are breeding. There are colonies to visit. Skimmers nest on the sand banks and so are found along the rivers edge. But there are more highlights: African fish eagle in flight and coming in to catch fish, egrets, cormorants, herons, plovers, fufous bellied heron, African jacana, pied, giant and malachite kingfisher, little bee eater, white fronted bee eater ... Chobe is famous for it's large herds of buffalo and elephant and there is no better time to see them mass on the waters edge than in October. We have access to the reserve via boat and game drive vehicle, allowing us both angles of approach to the various animals along the shore. At Zambezl River in Zambia we have a boat cruise on the last evening. This is a scenic cruise , there will be lots of birds, hippos and crocs to photograph.

PREDATOR TOUR: MASHATU - MALA MALA

Experience the ultimate predator viewing! Combining Mashatu's open ruggedness-perfect for leopard and Mala Mala's notoriely on the Big cat front you will have access to the best there ist to offer on a big cat photo experience. Mashatu is 25000 ha is a fitting setting to the worlds largest mammal. This extraordinary place posesses an ecological diversily uncommon in other reserves.

Mala Mala Game Reserve lies strategically sandwiched between the Kruger National Park and the Sabi Sands Wildtuin. The unfenced borders between Mala Mala and the Kruger National park on one side and the Sabi Sands Wildtuin on the other allow animals to migrate unhindered to the perennial Sand River which flows north to south through Mala Mala for 20 km. This well-preserved wilderness is a honey pot to the most sought-after wildlife species, as weil as a host of smaller creatures.

Mashatu Hide Photography Workshop

Mashatu is well known for its excellent predator sightings and elephant encounters. Now you can enjoy world-class photography from one of our hides. Our guests can sit quietly and watch the animals and birds come straight towards them while taking pictures from unique angles to create exceptional images. We have 4 different hides ready for you: Underground Elephant Hide, Infinity Hide, Bird Hide and semi-permanent movable Hide. Our resident wildlife photographer is based there and you are free to visit the reserve and make use of the hides.

Kenya

MASAI MARA - PREDATOR TOUR

The Masai Mara is of course most famous for the river crossings of the wildebeest a cross the Mara River. However, what many people don't realise is that this is the predator capital of Atrica. No where else is the lion density higher or the cheetah number higher. 4 resident leopards are known to reside within 10 minutes from our camp and of course the hyenas in the Mara are famous for their clean up acts. Just after the short rains the gras is green and but still short and most of the predators have young now, which allows for some intimate images of cubs and pups. The beauty of this tour is that we will be using our well known Massai guides who have worked for the last 4 years with us and know the area and predators intimately. You will be guided by our professional photographers also.

AMBOSELI - LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
GENTLE GIANTS - CLASSIC AFRICA TOUR

If it is an elephant you want then Amboseli must be on your itinerary. Amboseli offers a beautiful contrast between lush green, verdant swamps and dry dusty plains. Dust clouds and mini tornados twirl above them in the heat causing all manner of beautiful scenes. If this is not enough, Kilimanjaro lurks ominously in the background-adding that extra touch to the whole reserve. Lake Nakuru is famous for its huge population of lesser flamingos. These days the numbers fluctuate between 50-80000 birds. Excellent other bird life as well as the chance to see black rhino in the fever tree forests, lions and excellent chance of leopard too.

AMBOSELI - NAKURU - MASAI MARA

Amboseli offer so much more than just elephant - it is teeming with many other animals and birds. Our focus will be on these great pachyderms - some of them huge tuskers, as it is the best place in Africa to get remarkable elephant images into your portfolio. Lake Nakuru nestled in the rift valley, it holds its own in terms of excellent wildlife photography. Nakuru offers often misty mornings on the fever tree forests with lion, leopard and black rhino population. Many award winning wildlife pictures are taken in this reserve.
Our Masai Mara Camp is inside the reserve and with a view of the main crossing points. Between two rivers - Talek and Mara River - meaning easy and fast access to the most productive game viewing areas. The Masai Mara is home to the "greatest show on earth" so we build our camp in the middle of the wildlife action. Guided by our over years experienced Massai drivers and professional wildlife photographers from South Africa.

MASAI MARA MIGRATION

The Mara River- a place where wildlife meeting conflict in its millions. The migration is a constant dynamic. But at one point during the cycle, a major obstacle stands in the way of the momentum. At first it causes a stutter and a pause, but then the surge comes and millions of animals cross the Mara River in one of the most spectacular wildlife scenes on earth. We have reserved a small, intimate and private camp in the heart of the action. Our Masai guides and drivers and professional photographers will give us the best position and chance to get extraordinary pictures.

What better way to start the year with a tour to Africa's largest and wildest game reserve. Our camp in Mahale is heralded as having the most spectacular setting of any camp in Africa! It is situated on the remote eastern shore of lake Tanganyika! This Lake is spectacular and the 2nd deepest in the world. Behind our camp one find the Mahale Mountains which contains free and wild Chimpanzee populatlon. A photographic experience which you never forget. The chimps are trecked on food and spending time with these specials primates is a real treat, both as an observer and as a phototqrapher.

Zambia

SOUTH LUANGWA WILD KAINGO CAMP AND HIDES

South Luangwa valley combines some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa in a setting unique as its wildlife is diverse. South Luangwa hosts large populations of elephants, buffalo, hippopotamus and giraffe. Leopard and lion are exceptionally well represented-indeed. It is touted as having one of the highest densities of leopard in Africa. 400 bird species.
Here you will spend 6 nights in the luxury Kaingo Camp inside the actual reserve overlooking one of the floodplains that make these area so special.

Svalbard

POLAR BEAR EXPEDITION

Svalbard is a place of extraordinary beauty, dramatic scenery and rich wildlife. These Arctic Islands are amongst the last remaining great wilderness areas on earth. It is a land where glaciers are mirrowed in pristine waters and the largest predator of the Artic - the polar bear - roams the vast expanse of pack ice. And this is our main objective for this tour. While we will spend a lot of time photographing the various other bird and mammal species that are found in the region, it is the Polar bear that will be our main focus.
For this tour we have chartered the best vessel to work the waters of the artic seas. We have the whole boat to ourselves, which offers a completely flexible itinerary dedicated to photography and the best possible chance of maximising polar bear encounters on the pack ice.
Includes: all meals, accomodation and cruise start from Longyearbyen, Zodiac use, photo tutoring, special lectures and feedback and experienced Expedition leader and knowledgeable naturalist guides.
